Music

Hello today I will be telling you the difference between electrical guitar and acoustic guitar!

Here are some pictures of them!

The difference between the guitars are that the acoustic guitar is hollow and used the stings to make sounds while the electric one is solid and used electricity to make sounds.

The similar things about them is that the structure is made out of wood and the 6 pegs are also all the out of wood.

I hope you liked my blog post bye! 🙂

Music term 4 week 3!

Hello today for music I will be making a blog post about the songs we are learning on the piano! I have been having so much fun on the piano and I have been learning a song! The song that I have been learning is “Spooky scary skeleton!” It is so easy and fun and it is perfect for Halloween that is coming up! The thing that I am enjoying about learning the piano is that I can experiment and try new songs and it is just so much fun! The thing that I find very challenging is finding the keys and using my hand placement when I was learning a new song I had to stop look at the notes then the keyboard but since I kept practising I can do it without looking at the notes! I hoped you liked my blog post bye!:)

Music!

Hello today for music I will be answering some questions!

Here is 2 pictures of a piano and a keyboard!

What are the differences between the piano and keyboard?

The differences are that keyboards are electric while pianos are made out of iron and do not need electricity. Key boards are lighter and easier to move while pianos are heavier since they are made out of iron and wood.

What instrument family does the piano/keyboard belong to?

These instruments belong to the string family. It belongs to the keyboard family

That is the end I hope you liked it bye! 🙂

Notans!

Hello these past weeks we have been making notans! The understanding our teacher wanted us to do about notans was about the negative and positive spaces in art and that it means so much and is not just a painting. And that it takes time and patience to make art like this. I think that I achieved many things while making a notan like I achieved that I can cut more better and have more patience. Here is a photo of the art I used to give me ideas.

My photo is basically reality and emotions the faces represent emotions and the spiky and wavy lines represent how you feel in life some times you can feel made (the spiky lines) and the wavy lines represent being sad and just floppy and feeling weird.

The steps we had to do to make this was very easy all you need is scissors black paper and white paper and glue! First you want to put your black square down on the white paper and trace the corners and the you can start drawing shapes on the black paper, you have to make sure that the shape starts on the edge and ends on the edge. When you are done you can cut out your shapes and flip them on the white paper do this with all the shapes, when you are done glue and black square and you are done!

Here is a photo of my art

Here some planning and experiments I did beforehand just so I could get the hang of it.

Some mistakes that I made were not making sure what colours go where and going over the lines many times with the colouring in.

What did you enjoy about this work: I enjoyed how we could make any shapes and could add anything we wanted and it was a so cool to see when I glued every thing together.

What did you struggle with?: I struggled with cutting out the shapes and gluing them down since they would move around and could break easily.

What would you do differently if you had another opportunity?: I would not make my shapes to big since they can go off the paper and draw easier ones to cut out instead of small hard shapes.

What do you want your teacher to know about his work?: I want her to know how much effort I put in this notan and that its means a lot of things and is not just a notan but reality.

What did you unexpectedly learn?: I learnt that art is just not art but has a deeper feeling in emotions and meanings.

Adaptation blog!

Hello last week we designed our own animal! I make a Dossum! It is a possum mixed with a dinosaur! The habitat is the forest and it eats Possums dinosaurs and flowers. It eats its dinosaurs and possums because they are different spices. And eats flowers because they taste like ice cream.

Here is a picture of my animal!

My Dossum has many adaptations such as big hunky legs to run away from predators, big ears to hear predators from far away and a tail that can make fire to defend itself.

Behavioural adaptations:

My Dossum can play dead and has a spiky tail to wack the predators away. The playing dead can help itself so it will not get eaten and the spiky tail helps to prevent it getting bitten on the tail.

Functional adaptation:

My animal can produce fire from its tail and has venom inside of it. The venom can kill the animal that bit it in 5 second and the fire can burn the animal that was trying to hurt the Dossum or bite it.

The tail is the crucial part of the body even if it gets bitten off it can still grow back and it is good to have because it can save it from predators and can help it for climbing trees by sticking it on the trees and climbing up like a stick bug. This tail has spikes, venom and fire because the small creatures will die from the fire so it wont bite the Dossum but the bigger creatures might bite it and it will also die from the venom!

I think my adaptations are pretty cool, but here are some from real animals I found that are pretty weird: Like giraffes they has a long neck just so they can reach the top of the trees for the leave and they have a long tongue to wrap around the leaves and eat them! Their tongue is also purple so it doesn’t get burnt by the sun! The rattle snake also has venome in its body so that it doesn’t get bitten by predators and to save its self.

Notans!

Hello today in art we have been making natons! Natons is a word In Japaneses that means “light-dark balance” Its basically a form of art that is black and white and flipped out. I have made one digital and it was so much fun! You can make different shapes and blocks and you guys could even make it! I make really spiky things and round stuff! First I made a copy of a white sheet with a black square in the middle! Then you get your curve or polyline tool and you make shapes on the black block and then make a copy of the shape and fill it in white and then flip it and put it right beside your shape and your done! You can add as many shapes as you want or can and have fun! Here is my one that I made I hope you like it!
