Hello last week we designed our own animal! I make a Dossum! It is a possum mixed with a dinosaur! The habitat is the forest and it eats Possums dinosaurs and flowers. It eats its dinosaurs and possums because they are different spices. And eats flowers because they taste like ice cream.
Here is a picture of my animal!

My Dossum has many adaptations such as big hunky legs to run away from predators, big ears to hear predators from far away and a tail that can make fire to defend itself.
Behavioural adaptations:
My Dossum can play dead and has a spiky tail to wack the predators away. The playing dead can help itself so it will not get eaten and the spiky tail helps to prevent it getting bitten on the tail.
Functional adaptation:
My animal can produce fire from its tail and has venom inside of it. The venom can kill the animal that bit it in 5 second and the fire can burn the animal that was trying to hurt the Dossum or bite it.
The tail is the crucial part of the body even if it gets bitten off it can still grow back and it is good to have because it can save it from predators and can help it for climbing trees by sticking it on the trees and climbing up like a stick bug. This tail has spikes, venom and fire because the small creatures will die from the fire so it wont bite the Dossum but the bigger creatures might bite it and it will also die from the venom!
I think my adaptations are pretty cool, but here are some from real animals I found that are pretty weird: Like giraffes they has a long neck just so they can reach the top of the trees for the leave and they have a long tongue to wrap around the leaves and eat them! Their tongue is also purple so it doesn’t get burnt by the sun! The rattle snake also has venome in its body so that it doesn’t get bitten by predators and to save its self.
